MD buys more of Hopewell Holdings (54.HK) on 9% price fall
Managing Director Thomas Jefferson Wu picked up where he left off in property developer and infrastructure firm Hopewell Holdings Limited (54.HK) [MKT CAP 25B] in February with 10,000 shares purchased on June 29 at $27.99 each [AI SCORE 3.0; 3MTH +5%(72%)/6MTH +10%(55%) 47 BUYS-2003]. The trade increased his holdings to 27.710 million shares or 3.17% of the issued capital. The acquisition was made on the back of the 9% drop in the share price since May from $30.90. He previously acquired 100,000 shares on February 10 at $28.62 each. Prior to his purchases this year, the Managing Director acquired 700,000 shares from February to March 2011 at $24.60 to $22.94 each or an average of $23.74 each and 250,000 shares from June to September 2010 at $22.07 to $25.00 each or an average of $24.39 each. Prior to his trades since 2010, Mr. Wu acquired 1.15 million shares from April 2003 to October 2009 at $6.50 to $25.55 each or an average of $22.17 each. Hopewell Holdings announced its 1H results in January with profit attributable to shareholders up by 16.34% to $859.501 million for the 6 months to 31 December 2014. The stock closed at $27.90 on July 6 (Asia Insider News July 4, 2015).
